I heard a lot of noise coming from the sidewalk in front of my house. I went to the door to see what all the noise was about looked like a group just being loud nothing new there. I kept watching to make sure they went on there way one of them stopped by my driveway and started up the driveway. He came up about 3 feet then reached into his pocket and pulled something out and put it into the bushes I heard him say “if they search me they will find it”.
I kept watching as soon as they left I called the police and told them what I saw the dispatcher said not to go near the area in case they stashed a gun. I waited about 3 minutes then an officer arrived I went out and showed him the area where the kid put the stuff. He found 5 packs of Black Cat fireworks and a lighter. They were all confiscated about 10 minutes later the kids came back and searched the bushes but couldn’t find them. I heard this little kid say he took them as he pointed at my house. So now I am waiting to see if I will have to deal with some retaliation about this.

Just curious. Is it not worth the risk to just come out and ask what the kids are up to after the fact when they returned?

The last time I came out and ask someone what they were doing in my yard they threatened to shoot me. In my area it is about a 80% chance they are actually carrying a gun so why would you want to tempt fate.
